Snow Day!

The snow surprised me! I wasn’t expecting so much of it. Needless to say, it provided lots of joyful times for the children.

And then the big guys came home from school, and the snow was still falling! Such excitement. They quickly changed and then dashed off to meet the neighbors for a time of sledding. Moments like these make me feel like my kids are living out a Norman Rockwell painting.

Later that night, the snow started up again and Dad went out to join in a snowball fight. The kids were heard to be giving hoops and howls of joy as they “fought’ with Dad.

When the snowball fight turns into “everyone against Dad!”, you better watch out! A great deal of tussling took place as the snowballs kept flying. It provided lots of laughs and thrills of excitement to chase and be chased!

Keeping the lawn in tip-top shape falls on the shoulders of the baby. He became somewhat distressed when the wheels got so full of snow that they wouldn’t turn anymore.

I’m so thankful that I get to live in a place that experiences all four seasons. I’m not a huge fan of the cold or ice, but life would be a little sad if it never snowed.
