I was faced with having to fight a little inward battle. It was a beautifully warm spring day. I wanted to go for a run. But I knew my leggings under my running shorts would make me so hot. The question came to me, am I willing to go out there for everyone to see me, covered in red splotches?

The point of this post is to give a quick history, for those who might be traveling this same road of psoriasis. As well as answer the most common questions I get about my psoriasis.

We decided to make a time capsule. What better way to capture this time of our lives then to photograph the children with items that have become a new normal of our life during this coronavirus season. We are not mocking the seriousness of this virus, but rather it is our way of documenting this historical event.

And just like that, we are all homeschooling. I reached out to some moms I know who already were homeschooling their children before the coronavirus and asked for words of encouragement to the moms who are suddenly homeschooling due to the shutdown of schools. I hope their words encourage you.

What if the fear of death is what brings us to a place of repentance and worship of God. What if this fear drives us to desire realationship and oneness with God. If that happens, then we can say, by God’s grace it was worth it!

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7 We can face the unknown without fear beacause of Jesus, hallelujah!!!

A postpartum doula is someone who is there to support the mother, make them feel heard and valued, and help them become comfortable and confident in their new role.

“Foster care is really not about you. It’s about being a part of, no matter how small or how big, helping a child and/or a family to get their life back together. It’s about giving someone a hand up when they are down and don’t have a healthy support system to turn to. It’s about opening your hearts, being vulnerable, and letting God work in YOUR life through fostering.” – Joni

This season of life was so incredibly BUSY that if we hadn’t taken these photos I honestly might have forgotten that we even did this crazy trip.

A reward definitely helps your children leave a session with happy memories. They will feel like they were able to accomplish the task that you asked of them without the tears and threats.
